Dance Etiquette

1. It is the responsibility of all parents to see that their child attends classes regularly and to inquire about any missed newsletters, etc. if your child has been absent. 
2. Dancers should strive to be in class on time and to warm up while waiting for the teacher to begin.  Dancers arriving to class more than 10 minutes late on an on going basis may be asked to sit and watch class. 
3. It is important to be well groomed for class.  Hair is to be pulled back from the face and long hair is to be worn up.  A classical bun is required for ballet class.  Dancers are to adhere to the uniform set for the dance discipline they have chosen, a uniform keeps things simple allowing the dancer to concentrate on their art.
4. As a dancer you should always come to class prepared to work hard and to respect the corrections given by your teacher.  Pushing yourself to do your personal best will result in great rewards!
5. Respect of others is very important in the performing arts and in life.  Each dancer has the right to enjoy participating in class and developing their art.

Disrespect for others will not be tolerated at Ballare P.A.C.

School Policies

1. Missed classes (due to illness which are phoned in) may be made up by arrangement with the office in semesters 1 and 2 only.

2. Classes missed due to statutory holidays are accounted for during the school year.

3. Inclement weather:  In the event of a severe weather storm classes will be cancelled.  Please call the studio or check our web site before heading out to class.  If classes are cancelled, there will a message indicating so.  Classes cancelled due to inclement weather will not be rescheduled however students can take another equivalent class during the week.

4. There is a 5-minute allotment between classes to allow children and teachers to enter and exit their classes.

5. Ballare Performing Arts Centre reserves the right to cancel or combine classes with low enrollment.

6. A $25 administration fee shall be applied for any cheque returned due to insufficient funds (NSF).

7. A 5% late charge will be applied to payments overdue by 30 days.

8. Refund Policy

a) Term/semester payments are not refundable once deposited. Exceptions will be made within the first 3 weeks in our Creative Dance classes if a young child is having separation anxiety from mom or dad.

b) Post dated cheques, Visa or Master Card payments will not be processed in the event of a withdrawal provided written notice has been given at least one month prior to the start of the next semester.

c) Discounted full year tuition fees are not refundable.

d) No refunds are given for costume deposits after November 1st.

e) No term/semester refunds are given if a child is unable to continue dance due to an injury sustained either in dance or another activity. The unused portion of the semester will be credited on account.

f) If a class does not get sufficient registration and a suitable alternative is not available, a full refund will be given.
